Dear Brian and Joy,

It has been a pleasure renting part of your house since May. I know we took a chance moving in sight unseen but the pictures were 100% accurate. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied and the TV was bigger than we have ever owned. But the best part was the view from our deck. Robert and I enjoyed our daily walks either up the hill or down the hill.

You and Joy were so accommodating to our every need. Thanks for allowing us to share your mountain home.

I spent a year at Ansley’s Hideaway and wish it could have been longer.  The view is gorgeous.  I slept on the sofa sometimes with the curtains drawn so I could wake up looking at the mountains.  I think what was so appealing about the house itself was that there was nothing missing.  All the appliances were new and in great condition.  Details like the deep window sills, subtle colors and beautiful cherry wood floors give the house all the extra touches it needs.  It is a short hike from a waterfall and just a few steps from a beautiful lake view.  While the house definitely felt like home, it also served as a retreat, giving me some space from work and all the pressures of life.  I would definitely recommend living there to anyone.

Directions:

From The West (Asheville): I-40 East to exit 59 (Swannanoa Exit) and take left off of the exit.  Travel North to first light Highway 70 and turn right.  Travel East on 70 for about 2 miles and take a left on Grovestone.  Travel short distance to next light and go straight through light now traveling on North Fork.  Travel about 2 miles and turn left on Left Fork.  Travel about 1.5 miles and turn left into the Laurel Ridge Development on Sugar Maple.  Travel through Gate, and after about .25 mile stay right at the "Y" now traveling on Winding Poplar.  Travel about 3 miles and turn right on Lakewood Avenue.  Travel up Lakewood Avenue for about a half mile and house will be on the right hand side.

From The East (Marion/Old Fort): I-40 West to exit 64 (Black Mountain Exit) and take right off of the exit.  Travel North through Black Mountain for about 1 mile to North Fork.  Turn left on North Fork and travel for about 2 miles and turn right on Left Fork.  Travel about 1.5 miles and turn left into the Laurel Ridge Development on Sugar Maple.  Travel through Gate, and after about .25 mile stay right at the "Y" now traveling on Winding Poplar.  Travel about 3 miles and turn right on Lakewood Avenue.  Travel up Lakewood Avenue for about a half mile and house will be on the right hand side.
